場所事件的重疊：湯圍溝溫泉公園的延續

隨著雪隧的開通與溫泉業的開發，鄰近火車站、客運站的湯圍溝溫泉公園成為商業帶的第一級戰區，自90年代後溫泉旅館與假日別墅如雨後春筍般竄出。快速的開發導致當地居民的生活空間逐漸被壓縮，使多數居民對於外來遊客抱持避而遠之的態度。
歷史悠久的湯圍溝溫泉公園則是礁溪當地唯一商業、居民、遊客混雜同樂、各式事件發生的場域。透過基地本身位於三方衝突的地理位置，延續被礁溪街切斷的湯圍溝公園，置入當地早已不堪使用的旅遊中心等機能，形成新的場所精神。
設計一個新的秩序置入混雜的基地紋理之中， 成為湯圍溝溫泉公園的軸線端點，並以延續的立面來回應與周圍都市的關係。量體之間形成的如巷弄般的下沉廣場空間，再次闡述內部圍塑的場域性質，並重新分解組構溫泉公園的元素，在基地內再現。
混合商業、居民、遊客之間的關係，成為所有人都能同樂、活動的空間。
Issue Discussion:
Jiaoxi is famous for its hot springs. These attract large numbers of visitors so as the result, Jiaoxi has become a favorite weekend resort.
With the development of the Hsuehshan tunnel and the hot spring industry, the Tangweigou hot spring park near the railway station and bus station has become a popular spot in the commercial area.
Since the 1990s, the hot spring hotels and holiday villas have rapidly developed, leading the local residents living space be compressed and most of them hold an abominable attitude toward to foreign tourists.
The historic Tangweigou Hot Spring Park is the only place where the local business, residents, and tourists are mixed and fun, and various events take place in Jiaoxi.
Through the location of the base itself in a three-way conflict. Tangweigou Park was cut off by Jiaoxi Street, it should be continued into the local tourism center, which was already unusable, and formed a new spirit of the place.
